FIRE ALARMS

WHY SHOULD I INSTALL A FIRE ALARM?

A fire alarm system is a base point for all businesses. The damage to both people and property by fire can be devastating. As a business the cost of recovery from a fire is substantial.

Fire alarms are a foundation of any fire alarm system. They are responsive to smoke and heat and can be triggered both manually and automatically. Where appropriate, sprinkler systems can be activated by an alarm.

In order to comply with insurance requirements, businesses need to have the appropriate fire alarm. These vary in complexity dependent on the individual business criteria.

  • Clean smoke detectors
  • Check detectors are within their 10 year life span
  • Check detectors are functioning correctly
  • Test the detector batteries
  • Carry out any minor remedial works

The cost for an annual maintenance is dependent on the size of system.
